Fulfulde is the language spoken by the people who are variously called the Fulani, Fellatah, Fula, Peul, Fullah, Peulh, Etc. They refer to themselves however as the FulBe {plural}, Pullo {Singular}. They are Found all over the
West and Central Sahel and Sudan region, from the Atlantic Ocean in the West to the Nile in the East, and from Southern Algeria in the North, to Northern Congo DRC in the South
Colonies of Fulbe populations can also be found in the Red sea cities of Massawa [Eritrea}, Port Sudan {Sudan}, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. Nearly all the Principal Kings of northern Nigeria and Cameroon are Fulbe, where they are known by various titles such as Emirs, Sultan and Lamido. {Plural Lamibe}. Although in Northern Nigeria Hausa is the principal Language, the Fulfulde Language is Very important in the regions and provinces of Yola, Gombe, Bauchi, Muri, Misau, Jalingo and parts of Sokoto and Kebbi. It is difficult to as certain which Fulbe area in Nigeria speak the Purest Fulfulde, however the nomadic Mbororo Fulbe speak a very pure form of Fulfulde with very little loan words if any at all, and are the most exclusive and Endogamous of all Fulbe Clans within and outside nigeria
